Conversation with Robert Wallace, CEO, Stanford Management Company

You've probably heard of the Endowment Model, developed by David Swensen and Dean Takahashi at Yale in the mid-1980s. Many foundations and universities have adopted this approach, which stresses the diversification of investments across strategies, asset classes and time horizons.

Robert Wallace, who once worked at Yale, will describe how the Endowment Model has evolved, how it is currently employed at the Stanford Management Company and how he incorporates innovative investment approaches in managing approximately $27.8 billion in endowment and other financial assets.

Learn about the need to manage illiquidity to drive incremental returns, from Wallace’s perspective. Hear his outlook for 2019 and beyond. Share your views as you network with colleagues over drinks and hors d’oeuvres following the discussion.
