Education Session No. 1242
Investment Lessons Learned Enroute from Start-Up to Exit

How can you invest in a start-up and its success? Around 5,000 start-ups are created in Switzerland each year, and many more around the world. About 20% of these new companies file for bankruptcy after the first year of operations and only half survive beyond five years. Almost 60% of this group flourish as small to medium-size enterprises (SMEs). Eventually 6% of all start-ups are listed on the stock exchange.

It takes an average of ten years for an investor in a start-up led by an entrepreneur to make an exit, whether by sale to a private equity fund, investment by a venture capitalist or an IPO.

Learn the key milestones that you may face on the investment journey from start-up to unicorn, IPO or exit. Hear the essential points for success, plus how to avoid - and recover from - failure.

Send your questions to edugen@100women.org in advance or you may submit them during the webinar.
