100WF NextGen London Invites You To: Secrets of the Thames Charity Fun Run
See the Thames in all its glory on a picturesque guided running tour. What better way to enjoy learning about historic and cultural London sites while also fundraising! Your voluntary donation of £10.00 will support 100WF’s UK beneficiary Founders4Schools (F4S) and specifically the Maths4Girls programme. Please consider
donating to Maths4Girls here and employer matching gifts are also welcome.
The NextGen London Committee encourages members of all abilities to join the run; the guides are experienced in conducting tours with a mix of abilities. Following the run, network with peers and participants as you share the fun facts you've learned over recovery drinks (at a location to be confirmed).
We meet 25 Basinghall Street, London, EC2V 5HA (where you can store your bags). Please arrive by 6:15 pm; we start the run promptly at 6.30 pm. Latecomers may not be able to find the group.
100WF’s global philanthropic theme this year is Investing in the Next Generation. Through the Maths4Girls programme, female role models from the financial services industry will speak with girls ages 11-14 in their classrooms about their careers and the importance of maths for work and as a life skill. Maths4Girls’ aim is to encourage girls to consider careers in the finance industry by making them aware of the varied opportunities and encouraging them to take maths to A’level so that these opportunities are options. Register here to be a 100WF Maths4Girls volunteer speaker among the 830 participating schools across the UK.
