Horizons National (www.horizonsnational.org) provides high-quality academic enrichment programs to children in need, from Pre-K through high school. At Horizons, students from low-income families and with a broad range of academic ability, discover the joy of learning, the skills for success, and the inspiration to achieve their dreams.

Horizons programs feature a 5:1 student to teacher ratio, and are located on the campuses of independent schools, colleges, and universities across the country. Through an in-depth six-week summer program, with after school and weekend programs throughout the year, Horizons students explore a project-based curriculum focused on reading and STEM, and participate in the arts, fitness, and field trips. It is a transformational educational experience.

The community-centered programs – now over 50 affiliate sites in 18 states – are supported by the central Horizons National office, which also oversees network expansion and growth. Given the need, Horizons is working to increase the number of program sites by 50 percent by 2020.
