Jumpstart Brazil 2025: Guiding Young Women into the World of Finance

Sep 16, 2025

The fourth edition of Jumpstart Brazil took place on August 13, 2025, at ANBIMA’s headquarters in São Paulo, once again creating a valuable bridge between young women and senior professionals in the financial sector. Organized by the Educational Committee of 100 Women in Finance and generously hosted by ANBIMA, the event welcomed 35 students and recent graduates eager to learn more about careers in finance.

The day began with ANBIMA representatives outlining the certifications required for banking and investment-related roles in Brazil, providing participants with a clear roadmap for their first steps into the industry. A leading economist followed, offering an overview of both the local and global economic landscape and highlighting potential career paths in the context of today’s political and economic environment.

The agenda also included presentations from equity and credit analysts, who shared insights into their daily responsibilities and the technical skills needed to thrive in these careers. Alumni from previous Jumpstart events enriched the discussion by sharing their personal journeys, illustrating how participation had opened doors to new opportunities.

Adding a different perspective, female entrepreneurs discussed the challenges and opportunities of launching businesses in the financial sector. Their stories of resilience and innovation offered powerful inspiration to the young audience.

As in previous years, the program concluded with the popular Elevator Pitch activity. HR professionals gave participants practical advice on preparing CVs, excelling in interviews, and approaching career conversations with confidence. Students then practiced their pitches in small groups and received personalized feedback from experienced professionals.

Jumpstart Brazil 2025 once again delivered an engaging and impactful program, offering guidance, mentorship, and networking opportunities for the next generation of women in finance. The event continues to grow in scope and relevance, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone initiative for 100 Women in Finance in Brazil.
