Doireann O’Daly is a Senior Associate in the Dublin office of Dechert LLP where she practices financial services law. She is a trusted advisor for clients in relation to the launch and ongoing management of investment funds, including UCITS and AIFs. Her clients include investment managers, UCITS management companies and alternative investment fund managers. With almost a decade of experience, she advises many of the world’s leading asset management companies, financial institutions and service providers carrying on business in Ireland or through Irish vehicles. She also has extensive experience advising international clients in relation to European and Irish legal and regulatory developments.
Prior to joining Dechert LLP, Doireann was an investment funds lawyer at two leading Irish law firms based in Dublin. Doireann frequently publishes articles on complex legal issues impacting the asset management industry and speaks on podcasts and webinars.
Doireann is an advocate for diversity in the asset management industry. As co-chair of the 100 Women in Finance Dublin Early Career committee, she leads efforts to encourage female undergraduates to consider a career in finance through student outreach programmes, in conjunction with asset management companies and Irish universities. She is also an active member of the 100 Women in Finance Dublin Location, where she has played a key role in empowering, and providing networking opportunities, to mid-career women.
In addition to her professional involvement, Doireann enjoys activities such as running, yoga and volunteering with various animal rescue charities.
