Dr Kirsten Travers-UyHam is an associate professor of the practice of finance at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. She designed Emory’s Master of Analytical Finance program which launched in 2022, and currently serves as academic director. Her teaching and research interests include alternative investment strategies, asset allocation, derivatives and risk management. Kirsten is the founder and managing partner of River Cam Risk Advisors, and portfolio manager of River Cam Partners, LLP, a global macro multi-asset investment fund founded in 2019. Prior to launching River Cam Risk Advisors, Kirsten was Managing Director in the Global Risk group at Bear Stearns and Co, Inc. in New York, NY and at Bear Energy in Houston TX. She started her career as an investment banking Associate at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (now Credit Suisse) in New York and has held positions at hedge funds managing the investment and risk of equities, commodities, derivatives and currencies. Kirsten is a Global Angel member of 100 Women in Finance and a member of the CFA Society of Atlanta. She grew up in Cambridge, UK. and holds a BA in mathematics from Oxford University and a PhD in mathematics from Duke University.
