Founding Partner and Chief Sustainability Officer, Congruence Capital
Mikayla Hart launched Congruence Capital in Oct 2023 with an aim to redefine impact investing in public markets through an influence investing approach, collaboratively partnering with management teams of small-cap public companies to create shareholder value via operational and strategic improvements designed to simultaneously improve profitability and deliver measurable social and environmental impact. Through this process, the fund aims to demonstrating the congruence between sustainability and financial returns.
Mikayla’s career has focused at the intersection of corporate sustainability consulting and finance. Prior to Congruence, Mikayla was a Managing Director in Accenture’s Strategy Consulting group, where she led the Sustainability Strategy practice in North America, spearheading numerous projects that improve a company’s sustainability strategy while simultaneously optimizing long-term profitability. Her past engagements have encompassed a variety of value-enhancing Impact Initiatives, including circular economy and waste reduction, sustainable procurement and product development, value chain decarbonization, and supply chain logistics optimization. Mikayla has published various reports on sustainability and value creation in partnership with organizations such as the United Nations and the World Economic Forum, and was recognized as a top global female executive by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. Mikayla began her career with foundations in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.
Mikayla also serves as the VP of the Board of Directors for Climate Action Pathways for Schools, reducing emissions and operating costs for public school districts and advancing climate literacy through project-based learning. Mikayla graduated with executive certificates from Yale University and INSEAD, an MBA from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School, and a BBA from the University of Hawaii in Finance and International Business. Originally from Hawaii and currently in San Diego, CA, she’s a mother outside of work and enjoy spending time in nature with her son, traveling, surfing, backpacking, and yoga.
