Hong Kong – 15 October 2024 – 100 Women in Finance (100WF), a global finance industry organization, announced today that Cindy Yan, Senior Managing Director, Direct Investing, Private Capital at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, will receive its 2024 APAC Industry Leadership Award. Each year, the Award acknowledges outstanding professional talent, unwavering business ethics, and a profound dedication to investing, setting new benchmarks of excellence within the industry. Cindy will be honored for this achievement at the 100WF Hong Kong Gala on October 17 at the Four Seasons Hong Kong.

Cindy Yan leads direct and co-investment activities, portfolio management, and value creation for Private Capital in the Asia-Pacific region for Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Based in Hong Kong, she oversees a diverse portfolio spanning seven countries and manages a team of investment professionals across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Mumbai.

Before joining Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Cindy was a Partner with Advantage Partners, an established Japan and Asia-focused mid-cap buyout firm, where she led various buyout and late-stage growth investments and cross-border portfolio value creation. She has also held roles at Boston Consulting Group and the 999 Group. Cindy holds a BA with First Class Honors in International Trade and Economics from Sichuan International Studies University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
