Meet Taiwo Okwor and Abimbola Meshinoye, the new co-chairs of the 100 Women in Finance Nigeria committee. Nigeria is 100WF’s 32nd global location and the Nigeria committee is planning an exciting range of events for 2025 including programs specifically for senior practitioners as well as members at the early and mid-career stage. These accomplished professionals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles, and we are delighted that they and the committee are leading our initiatives with dedication and innovation in Nigeria and contributing to positive change in the finance industry.
Taiwo Okwor
Vice President, Investments, Africa Finance Corporation
Taiwo Okwor is a Vice President at the Africa Finance Corporation. She leads origination, structuring and execution of transactions in the natural resources sector in the oil, gas, mining and associated infrastructure which includes client coverage, transaction origination, negotiation and execution of transactions. She has over fifteen years of international infrastructure and energy finance experience with investments of US$2.5 billion invested across multiple geographies and infrastructure sectors including involvement in multibillion dollar development projects with international institutions. Prior to AFC, her professional experience includes Investment Banking, Project Financing, Investment Management, Risk Management and Portfolio Management.
Taiwo obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Exeter, holds the Global Executive MBA from the IE Business School in Madrid and a Certificate in Investment Management from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment, UK and member of the Institute of Directors, UK.
Abimbola Meshinoye

Abimbola Meshinoye (Abim) is a seasoned Marketing and Communications professional with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and leading high-performing teams. As the Head of Brand Strategy, Budgeting, and Planning at a top-tier financial services provider in Nigeria, Abim has developed expertise in managing 360-degree marketing campaigns, executing large-scale experiential events, and fostering strategic partnerships.
With over 10 years of experience in the marketing and communications industry, Abim has worked with numerous high-profile clients and has a deep understanding of the Nigerian market. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Hertfordshire and an MBA from Imperial College.
Abim is a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and a WIMBIZ WIMBoard Fellow. She has completed various courses in project management, strategy, and leadership.
Abim is a member of several professional associations, including the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Banking of Nigeria.
In her personal time, Abim is passionate about empowering women and mentoring young professionals and has made a significant impact in the lives of many young people.
Abim’s personal mantra is to live a stress-free life with a better work-life balance and is deliberate about spending time with the people that matter most. She believes in the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement, often finding solace in reading and travel.
