On March 11, members of 100 Women in Finance Singapore gathered for Emerging Markets in Transition: A Macro Perspective – an intimate lunch discussion focused on the shifting macro landscape across Asia and emerging markets.
Moderated by Alicia Zhang, Fullerton Fund Management, the conversation explored how higher-for-longer global rates, USD dynamics, geopolitical fragmentation, and diverging growth paths across Asia are reshaping capital flows and portfolio construction.
Panellists Tiffany Gu, Winton, Tamara Mast Henderson, Bloomberg and Yashi Wang, CCIC Wealth Management International shared insightful perspectives on:
- Policy divergence across Asian economies and implications for rates and growth
- Investor positioning across North Asia, including China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan
- How allocators are redefining Asia exposure amid uncertainty
- The growing role of systematic strategies, CTAs, and commodities in liquidity and price discovery
- Where cross-asset opportunities may be emerging as macro dispersion increases
With a select group of portfolio managers and allocators around the table, the discussion was candid, practical, and forward-looking- particularly as participants considered allocation shifts heading into 2026.
We are grateful to our moderator and panellists, our event sponsor, Winton, and to everyone who joined and contributed to such a thoughtful exchange.
