100 Women in Finance is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Blanca as APAC Director, strengthening the organization’s continued commitment to supporting and advancing women across the global finance industry.
Based in Hong Kong, Maria joins 100 Women in Finance with more than 20 years of international experience spanning finance, partnerships, operations, governance, and organizational leadership across Europe and Asia. Throughout her career, she has worked across global corporations, NGOs, and social enterprises, building strategic partnerships and leading initiatives designed to create meaningful organizational and community impact.
An ACCA qualified chartered accountant, Maria brings extensive experience in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and multi market operational leadership. Her background reflects a strong focus on collaboration, relationship building, and mission driven leadership across diverse industries and regions.
Maria has also been recognized as an ACCA “Agent of Change” for her commitment to advancing impact, diversity, and inclusion. In addition to her professional experience, she currently serves as Co Chair and Head of Charities at TEDxTinHauWomen in Hong Kong, one of the city’s longest standing TEDx platforms focused on innovation, leadership, and community engagement. Through this role, she has led large scale events and initiatives that connect partners, volunteers, and local communities to drive meaningful conversations and positive change.
She is also a Certified Advisory Board Chair and holds a double degree in International and European Business.
As APAC Regional Director, Maria will work closely with 100 Women in Finance leadership, volunteers, corporate partners, and regional communities to support engagement and growth initiatives across Asia Pacific. Her role will focus on strengthening member and volunteer engagement, fostering strategic partnerships, supporting regional programming, and helping further the organization’s global mission of empowering women at every stage of their careers in finance.
