New York, NY – 100 Women in Finance today announces the formation of a Sydney location. Founded in New York in 2001, 100 Women in Finance (100WF) is a global, practitioner-driven nonprofit organisation that serves more than 15,000 professionals in the finance and alternative investment industries.
100WF’s Sydney location is the 23rd official site for 100WF event programming and membership in the organisation’s global network. The Sydney location is expected to serve 100WF members in Sydney and Melbourne, and will pursue options for programming in both cities.
100WF CEO Amanda Pullinger stated, “The Sydney location secures an important link in our mission of empowering women in the financial sector at every stage of their careers. We welcome and look forward to the contributions of our Australia-based members, and to the expansion of our global network.”
The Sydney location is run by a volunteer organising committee of senior finance and alternative investment professionals who are responsible for producing industry education and peer engagement events and programs. The committee’s inaugural program under the 100WF banner was on October 25, 2018 and featured Digital Asset CEO Blythe Masters in the auditorium of the Australian Securities Exchange. The event was attended by 200 finance and alternative investment professionals.
Inquiries regarding engagement with 100WF in Australia can be sent to its organising committee. Information about future events and 100WF membership are here. Media inquiries are welcome here.
