The occasion was marked by an event hosted last evening by UBS Private Wealth Management that was attended by senior practitioners from Philadelphia’s finance community. The program featured a fireside chat with Ellen Yin, restaurateur and founder of High Street Hospitality Group, and included remarks by Philadelphian Mimi Drake, co-CEO of Permit Capital Advisors and an Emerita Board Chair of 100WF’s Global Association Board. Other attendees included 100WF’s COO Ann Henry, and founding 100WF Board member Mindy Posoff and Emerita Co-Founder Dana Hall, also both Philadelphians.

100WF’s Philadelphia location will be co-chaired by Julie Fox, Managing Director, Market Head, Mid-Atlantic Private Wealth Management at UBS Financial Services. Ms. Fox remarked “We are thrilled to launch 100 Women in Finance in Philadelphia. I have been involved with the organization for many years and am proud of the impact it has women of all ages and at all points in their careers. 100WF Philadelphia will provide networking fulfillment to successful senior practitioners and to the next generation of female finance professionals, which was a void in our city up until now.”

Ms. Fox’s co-chair, Emily Turner, Private Wealth Advisor at Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC said, “For more than 18 years, 100 Women in Finance has been committed to empowering professional women across the globe. We are so excited to bring this powerful mission to Philadelphia, where we have a vibrant community of financial professionals. We want to offer members the opportunity to make connections, enhance their careers, and give back to the community. Today’s event was an outstanding first-step in driving this initiative forward in Philadelphia.”

On the launch of 100WF’s Philadelphia location, 100WF CEO Amanda Pullinger commented, “We are delighted to welcome members in Philadelphia to 100WF’s global community. Philadelphia, home to the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and more than 80 colleges and universities, is an obvious and essential location for 100WF, especially as we extend our mission to introduce pre-career young women to opportunities and female role models from the finance industry.”

Individuals who wish to become involved with 100WF’s Philadelphia location are welcome to inquire here. 100WFs events are open to all members of the global organization – women and men – and draw professionals from a wide spectrum of the finance industry.  Membership is open to all who support its mission.
