To build on the goodwill and interest generated by Amanda’s Meetings, Jyoti Rai, lead volunteer on 100WF’s Working Group in India , together with Sona Blessing, Swiss-based 100WF Global Council member, organised a fireside chat event with Manisha Girotra, CEO, Moelis & Company, India at the Quorum.
A recognised finance stalwart, with more than three decades of investment banking experience, Manisha shared, in a candid conversation moderated by Sona, her breadth of knowledge and personal experience in the industry. She framed a macro finance snapshot for 2023 and why she is bullish on the invest in India story, and considered how fintech and democratisation of financial markets has had an impact on the financial landscape. The engaging discussion, peppered with personal anecdotes from her career, also highlighted how she embraces and passionately pushes for DEI.
After an interactive Q&A session with the audience, Jyoti closed the session by elaborating on the future plans for building out 100WF’s India working group, and invited participants to join, and support this fast-growing community! Noteworthy was not only the strong turnout, but that it was truly representative of, and across the financial ecosystem.
