Alissa Grad is Vice Chair and Chief Client Officer at Golub Capital, a market-leading, award-winning direct lender and experienced credit asset manager. Golub Capital partners with institutional investors and family offices, offering tailored solutions for investors’ credit asset strategies. The Firm specializes in delivering reliable, creative and compelling financing solutions to companies backed by private equity sponsors.

Alissa joined Golub Capital in 2009 and is Vice Chair and Chief Client Officer, responsible for global client development, client and product strategy as well as building and nurturing strategic investor relationships across the institutional and wealth intermediary market segments.

She was previously a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Investor Partners Group overseeing the Firm’s global business development, corporate development, product specialists and the investor relations teams. Alissa has over 15 years’ experience leading capital formation for alternative and credit-related investments. Prior to joining Golub Capital, she worked in senior capacities for both private debt and hedge fund platforms. She started her career as an Investment Banking Analyst at J.P. Morgan in Debt Capital Markets.

In 2022, Alissa was recognized by Wall Street Journal Pro Private Equity on its “Women to Watch” list. In 2018, she was recognized as a “Top 20 Rainmaker” by Private Debt Investor. She is a Charter Angel and Sustaining Angel of 100 Women in Finance. Alissa is also an affiliate member of the AFL-CIO through the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

Alissa earned her BS degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

When asked to be featured in the January Member Spotlight, Alissa proudly said that she was “one of the first 100 women” to be part of the 100Women organization. Alissa recalls attending one of the first 100Women events in the winter of 2002 while working at a hedge fund and new on the rise of the alternative investment industry. As one of the organization’s youngest members, Alissa feels fortunate to have built relationships and found mentors early in her career through the 100Women networks. Many of her early relationships have become some of her closest friends in life and with whom she collaborates regularly from a professional standpoint. Alissa is a Charter Angel and Sustaining Angel Member of 100Women and authentically believes in the power of women’s networking. Alissa feels she has benefited greatly from the learning opportunities provided by 100Women, particularly as the alternative investment industry has evolved over the past 20+ years.

It is clear Alissa loves her career and attributes much of her success to a unique community of relationships she has built around her. As one of the most senior and inspirational leaders at Golub Capital, Alissa actively supports women at the Firm and shares bright energy and genuine advocation for young women and men in the finance world today.
