Candice Yip is the Senior Business Partner in Human Resources for Point72’s international offices, overseeing the firm’s efforts to attract, develop, and retain the industry’s brightest talent across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Candice joined the firm in 2011 with a mandate to help build out the strategic growth of the business in Asia and develop and implement a human capital framework for the region. Over time, Candice’s responsibilities expanded to include Europe and the Middle East, as well, and she now leads the HR team for all nine of Point72’s international office locations..
Candice began her career in Human Resources at Target Corporation in the U.S. before relocating to Hong Kong, where she held similar Human Resources positions at Oasis Management and MF Global (North Asia).
Candice was born in Hong Kong and raised in California, but she returned to Hong Kong to be closer to her family and her roots are now firmly set there. Candice is an active member of 100 Women in Finance in Hong Kong—she was previously Gala Committee Co-Chair in 2021 and is now on the Education and Gala committees. Candice is also set to lead the newly-formed committee, DEI Sr. Practitioners Group, in Hong Kong. Candice earned her BA in International Relations from UC Davis, and her master’s degree in International and Public Affairs from Hong Kong University.
