LaunchMe Spotlight: Cynthia DiNapoli + Vina Reddy

For Cynthia DiNapoli, LaunchMe offered an opportunity to better understand the finance industry beyond the classroom and gain insight from someone who had already built a successful career within it.

An Honors Finance student at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Cynthia combines her passion for finance with creative strategy through leadership roles and internships spanning wealth management, financial reporting, and marketing within her university’s Student Managed Investment Fund.

“I am particularly interested in the intersection of analytical finance and creative strategy,” Cynthia shared.

When she joined LaunchMe, Cynthia hoped to connect with experienced professionals who could help her better understand the realities of the industry and support her professional development.

“My favorite part of the program has been the opportunity to gain a real perspective on the fundamentals of the industry, moving beyond the classroom to understand a new side of finance through direct mentorship,” she explained.

Through her mentorship with Vina Reddy, Cynthia found guidance that extended far beyond technical finance conversations.

One of the biggest areas of growth during the program was learning how to strengthen her professional narrative and develop greater confidence in herself and her career direction.

“The most significant impact has been in refining my professional narrative and confidence,” Cynthia shared. “Through Vina’s guidance, I have learned that success in finance is built as much on resilient relationships and consistency as it is on technical returns.”

That perspective helped Cynthia approach her internship experiences differently, placing greater emphasis on continuous learning, communication, and relationship building.

The mentorship also became highly personal and relatable through the pair’s shared local connection in New Jersey. As self described coffee and matcha lovers, Cynthia and Vina often explored local coffee shops together during their in person mentorship sessions.

Those informal moments helped reinforce one of the most valuable aspects of LaunchMe: mentorship relationships built on trust, accessibility, and honest conversation.

For Cynthia, the experience became a reminder that career growth is not solely about technical expertise or achieving immediate milestones. It is also about learning how to build meaningful professional relationships, communicate your value clearly, and approach opportunities with confidence and consistency.

Through LaunchMe, Cynthia gained more than industry insight. She gained perspective on the kind of professional she hopes to become and the importance of relationships in building a long term career in finance.
