100WF London Education committee recently hosted a workshop on Panel Perfect: Visibility, Credibility & Professional Positioning.
The workshop was led by Andrea Carpenter, who delivered an engaging and highly practical session on how to become an effective and memorable panelist. Andrea shared clear, actionable insights on the five things every great panelist should know – from structuring messages and communicating with impact, to managing nerves and anxiety, staying present and advocating for your voice on stage.
A highlight of the morning was the live panel practice, where three volunteer members had the opportunity to immediately put the learning into action by taking part in a simulated panel discussion. Everyone was impressed at how naturally the volunteers performed with such little notice and preparation! They were amazing! After that, Andrea provided thoughtful, constructive feedback in real time, helping to bring the frameworks to life and creating a supportive, confidence‑building experience for both participants and attendees.
The session reinforced that panels are powerful platforms for visibility when approached with the right preparation, clear, meaningful and powerful messages, and presence—and that these skills can be learned and practised.
The popularity of the oversubscribed event reflected strong demand for practical, skills‑based sessions focused on confidence, visibility and professional impact. The event received positive feedback from members, who particularly valued the practical nature of the workshop, the opportunity to practise in a live setting, and the collaborative, encouraging atmosphere. Everyone took the opportunity before and after the workshop to network and expand their community.
We are grateful to Trimont and Candice Sammeroff for generously sponsoring and supporting the event and to Andrea Carpenter for leading the session.
