Turning AI into Advantage in Bermuda

May 28, 2026

Bermuda, 28 May 2026

100 Women in Finance Bermuda, in collaboration with Carey Olsen, hosted a discussion on AI, Regulation and Careers.

Moderated by Charissa Ball, the panel featured Jinhwa Rustand, Priya Suagh, and Aqsa Zubair, who shared their perspectives on how artificial intelligence is reshaping financial services, influencing decision-making, and changing the future of work. The discussion explored the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, the evolving regulatory landscape, and the skills professionals will need to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven environment.

Several themes emerged throughout the conversation. While AI is already transforming the way organizations operate, human judgment, expertise, and oversight remain critical. Panelists highlighted the importance of ensuring innovation and regulation evolve together and emphasized that curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning are becoming essential professional skills. One observation that resonated strongly with attendees captured the pace of change facing the industry today: “You think you have it figured out on Friday, and everything has changed by Monday.”

Thank you to Carey Olsen for hosting the event, our panelists and moderator for sharing their insights, and everyone who joined us for the discussion.

This marked the second 100 Women in Finance Bermuda event of 2026 as the location continues to build momentum following its relaunch. We look forward to bringing more educational, networking, and professional development opportunities to Bermuda’s financial community throughout the remainder of the year and into 2027.
