Regional JumpStart Location
The 100 Women in Finance JumpStart program has been running regional events in Hong Kong since 2021. The hybrid format half-day event has attracted more than 230 students over the years and a rising trend is observed. Panels with seasoned speakers from different areas contribute to each event covering three to four trending topics of the year. The events conclude with Speed Mentorship sessions which enable participants to gain tips and insights from the mentors directly.
Program highlights:
- There were similar numbers of university participants from across each study year.
- On average, participants reported that their knowledge of opportunities in the finance industry nearly doubled after attending JumpStart.
- The Speed Mentorship sessions were overwhelmingly well received with approximately 75% of the students voted as the most valuable session. They also valued sharing sessions in which they found the speakers’ personal stories very inspiring.
