100 Women in Finance Names PIMCO’s Kimberley Stafford as its 2019 APAC Industry Leadership Honouree.

HONG KONG [May 22, 2019] 100 Women in Finance (‘100WF’) today announced that Ms. Kimberley Stafford, Head of PIMCO Asia-Pacific, will receive its 2019 APAC Industry Leadership Award at the 7th Annual 100WF Hong Kong Gala on October 17, 2019.

Based in Hong Kong, Ms. Stafford is responsible for setting strategic direction for the region and leading a team of PIMCO professionals to deliver investment solutions and service to Asia-Pacific clients. Ms. Stafford is also a member of PIMCO’s Executive Committee.

Her career at PIMCO began in 2000 and she has held several positions, including global head of consultant relations, head of U.S. institutional sales and alternatives marketing teams and global head of human resources and talent management. Prior to these roles, Ms. Stafford was a member of PIMCO’s executive office, contributing to firm-wide strategic, financial and operational initiatives; head of global sustainability initiatives, overseeing the firm’s environmental, social and governance efforts; an account manager in the consultant relations group; and an analyst in PIMCO’s trade compliance group. She has 19 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Redlands (USA).

The theme of the 100WF Hong Kong Gala, and all 100WF’s global fundraisers in 2019, is “Investing in the Next Generation.” With this focus, the Gala’s proceeds will fund 100WF’s work in Hong Kong to establish purposeful pathways and inspiration for pre-career young women to enter the finance industry, and to support them in early stage careers with relevant programming and a peer network.

As in 2018, the Gala will be held at the iconic Maxim’s Palace City Hall, which accommodates a large gathering of finance industry executives. 100 Women in Finance is a global network of professional women and men in the finance and alternative investment industries working together to empower women at every stage of their careers.
