100 Women in Finance Announces the Launch of its Germany Location, the 27th in the Global Organization

Apr 26, 2021

[New York] 26 April 2021. 100 Women in Finance (“100WF”), a global nonprofit finance industry organization of nearly 20,000 members on four continents, today announces the formation of its 27th official location, in Germany.

Known world-wide for its three-part mission of Education, Peer Engagement and Impact, 100WF will now globally connect like-minded women to this region. Its primary activities are focused on career advancement, development of the next generation of professionals, women’s industry leadership and social impact on pre-career education for young women.

The launch will be marked by an event on May 4, 2021, a virtual gathering featuring a welcome by Susanne Ballauff, Senior Managing Director, Wellington Management and Chair of 100WF’s Germany Committee, and by Alexandra von Kalnein, Executive Director, Natango Invest.

The keynote speaker, Professor Nicola Fuchs-Schundeln, Chair for Macroeconomics and Development at the Goethe University, Frankfurt, will describe the cultural and social factors that affect women’s career advancement in Germany.

Other speakers will be Sarah Dyer, Co-Founder of 100WF, who will reflect on the organization’s journey from its founding in 2001 in New York to becoming a global professional membership association with nearly 20,000 members. Amanda Pullinger, Chief Executive Officer of 100WF, will share the organization’s mission and vision for the next 20 years.

A networking period to facilitate conversation follows the keynote and Q and A discussion.

“100 Women in Finance is excited to welcome its newest members from Germany to our organization. Germany was welcomed as a location consistent with its standing as the nation with the largest economy in Europe, ranked by GDP. The Frankfurt Stock Exchange has long been one of the world’s largest financial trading centers, and investment funds had more than 3.4 trillion euros ($4.1 trillion) under management in 2019. We look forward to the Education programs planned across Germany’s financial centers, as well as the members’ participation in Peer Engagement and Impact initiatives,” said Amanda Pullinger, 100WF CEO.

Individuals who wish to become involved with 100WF’s Germany location are welcome to inquire here. 100WFs events are open to all members of the global organization – women and men – and draw professionals from a wide spectrum of the finance industry. Membership is open to all who support its mission.
