Ms. Kaplan is CIO and founder of ELLE CAPITAL LP, (www.ellecapital.com) a 100% women owned and operated quantitative hedge fund. ELLE CAPITAL fuses market psychology together with mathematics to design algorithms that make buy, sell and hold investment decisions.
Ms. Kaplan is a repeat entrepreneur, who founded LexION Capital in 2010. LexION Capital is a long-only asset management firm that provides bespoke investment solutions to individuals, families and not for profit institutions. As with LexION Capital, ELLE CAPITAL is supported by a talented and diverse team and displays all the early hallmarks of success.
ELLE CAPITAL officially launched on January 1, 2021 with the great support and mentorship provided by the inaugural Advisory Board member, Howard Morgan. Amongst his many accolades and achievements, Mr. Morgan is a quantitative investing pioneer and the co-founder of Renaissance Technologies.
Ms. Kaplan has provided the keynote address at numerous events including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Center for Women in Business Summit, Inc.’s GrowCo Conference and several other entrepreneurial, business and higher education organizations. Twice, she was invited to speak at the Pentagon. Ms. Kaplan earned her Executive MBA in Finance from the Columbia School of Business where she gave the 2019 Commencement Address while in her third trimester of pregnancy. Ms. Kaplan is a devoted mother to her twin sons.
