Ellie Scharlotte
Vice President, Investment Research Business Manager,
Wellington Management
Ellie Scharlotte is the Business Manager for Wellington Management’s Investment Research Group, which is comprised of core fundamental investment research teams spanning equity; credit; macro; and environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG). She partners closely with the Investment Research Leadership Team on cross-functional projects that impact investment professionals and the investment platform more broadly. Her efforts support building the infrastructure and ecosystem which enables the team to identify, design and execute the platform’s strategic business initiatives. She focuses on ensuring smooth execution of daily operations.
Ellie co-chairs the Disabilities Awareness Network, one of Wellington’s 12 Employee Resource Groups, and co-leads the firm’s US initiatives with 100 Women in Finance. Ellie joined Wellington Management’s Business Associate program in July 2016, after graduating from Bentley University with a BS degree in Finance and Computer Information Systems.
Outside of Wellington, Ellie co-chairs the P.L.A.Y. Network for Horizons for Homeless Children (a young professionals group that builds awareness and provides help to homeless children and families), and chairs 100 Women in Finance’s Boston Early Career Committee (focused on providing an educational and social forum for women to build lasting, synergistic relationships in the first decade of their careers). Ellie highly values the opportunity to connect with others in the industry to grow and learn together.
Ellie’s biggest passions are family and food. She and her husband (Will) love to try out new recipes together and explore restaurants around Boston. When she is not cooking, Ellie is most likely catching up with family or spending time with her dog, an English Cream Golden Retriever named Bentley.
