The co-chair of 100 Women in Finance’s Germany committee, Susanne Ballauff has been included in Financial News’ “100 Most Influential Women in Finance” list for 2023, which spotlights the leading women in European finance.

Susanne is the President of the Wellington Management Funds Global Group (WMF Global), which serves as fund sponsor for certain Wellington-managed fund vehicles offered to clients outside of the US. Susanne also heads up the Frankfurt office and is the Head of Wellington Management Europe.

A champion for diversity, equity and inclusion, Susanne has helped build Wellington’s mentorship programs to bolster its talent pipeline and support women and ethnic minorities in the business. She also was a founder of 100 Women in Finance’s Germany location and currently co-chairs the 100 Women in Finance Germany committee.

Joining Wellington Management in 2005 in their London office as a relationship manager, Susanne was responsible for deepening relationships and developing consultative partnerships with continental European institutional and sub-advisory clients. Prior to joining the firm, Susanne worked for JPMorgan Investor Services in London as a business developer covering Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. She also worked in Frankfurt as head of wholesale sales for JPMorgan Asset Management, where she was responsible for sales and service of pooled funds for institutional clients (2001 – 2005). Before that, Susanne held various positions with Commerzbank Asset Management (1995 – 2000).

Susanne studied business administration and economics at Philipps-Universität Marburg and Justus-Liebig-Universität in Gießen and graduated as Diplom-Kauffrau in 1994. Additionally, she holds the DVFA/Chartered European Financial Analyst designation (CEFA).
