100WF’s Investing in the Next Generation Initiative reaches, inspires and supports pre-career women of all backgrounds, to become the finance industry’s leadership pipeline. This initiative is an important strategic element in the organisation’s 30×40 Vision, in which women will perform 30% of the finance industry’s investment and executive team roles by year 2040.

Amanda Pullinger noted that “Our Investing in the Next Generation Initiatives effort is still in its early days. Today’s reception celebrates our initial success and momentum, but 100WF takes a generational view with this work. We know that shaping young women’s positive attitudes about the finance industry requires strong local program partners, the opportunity to directly influence teenage girls, visible female role models, and a workplace that is primed to help these women thrive at the highest levels.”

Cayman Islands-based 100WF Global Association Board member Christina Bodden was accompanied at the reception by two students served by GirlForce 100, 100WF’s flagship Investing in the Next Generation program partner in the Cayman Islands. Ms. Bodden remarked, “For the past four years, we’ve delivered pre-career programming and mentorship to diverse, high potential Caymanian high school students. It’s gratifying to see that 100WF’s work – in the Cayman Islands and globally – makes such a difference in elevating young women’s professional ambitions and pointing them toward careers in the finance industry.”

100WF committee leader Sonia Ponnusamy attended the reception with other members from Hong Kong. She noted, “The scale of 100WF’s global organisation is apparent at this reception. One can sense how 100WF’s Impact initiatives are part of a growing, global movement.”
